Default Tag Team builds anyone? W/E x2

Hmm, for a nice 'mini team' idea. I'm sure there's more but this one came to mind since my 2 R/E idea with my g/f kinda fell through...

One is Ice [sword type] the other Lightning [axe type]

Both share these stats:

12+1+3 weapon mastery respectively
8+1 Strength
10 water/air magic respectively

Lightning Spiker [axe of Thor?]

Penetrating Blow
Eviscerate {E}
Executioner's Strike
Axe Rake
Frenzy
Sprint
Lightning Touch
Conjure Lightning

4 adrenal skills will allow for good energy efficiency. Since Conjure lasts so long, energy for this skills shouldn't be an issue...

Sword Ice Conditioner [Excalibur of Water?]

Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Victory is Mine! {E}
Frenzy
Sprint
Shard Storm
Conjure Frost

3 Adrenal, but a powerful energy manager to make up for it.

Plan is both awkward and finesse at the same time. Choose a victim. Any victim will suffice. Ice Warrior runs in and slams them with Shard Storm [4s. of snare is enough] Both close in and the Lightning Axe user lets loose with Lightning Touch. Pow, an instant armor penetrating opening strike with a few seconds of snare to boot... [yay for double dmg]

From there, both warriors dump bleeding, deep wound, and cripple and when that Axe Rake hits, Victory is Mine! should be used to cast shard storm again. Repeat the pain...

Sword is good because it doesn't need a weapon elite. Axe is well, Axe!

Any ideas on another W/X pair?

Wow, that's really good. Don't have any other pairs, because I've only been Warior/Mo since I've started playing a month ago.

Anyone think a Warrior/Mesmer and a Warrior/Necro might work together?

I don't like it too much. Shard storm is not worth the time spent casting it when you only get ~4seconds of snare for it, and lightning touch can be replaced with aftershock on a hammer warrior, giving you knockdowns and a better spike, and is not as conditional.

W/Me using a blend of Illusion and Inspiration might work with W/N. Thing is, the 2 skills I chose work together causing massive dmg. What does a W/Me have that meshs with a W/N?

Another thought would be using W/Me with Fear Me! with a hex snare coupled with another W/Me using Fear me and other energy draining skills.

There are some options here..there arent any REAL direct spike damage ways of using a war/mes with a war/nec... however you could deal a serious blow with some of these options.

Diversion: For 6 seconds, the next time target foe uses a skill, that skill takes an additional 10-47 seconds to recharge

Signet of humility: disable target foes elite for 15 seconds

Blackout: if used on a monk.. its devastating.. but the other monk can help here..

I would say a war using both diversion and sig of humility for the war/mes would be a suprising combo.. that no one was expecting.

then follow up with a war/nec using:
Sould leech
or
Weaken armor!!!!!!!
or
Rigor Mortis

And as per your war/ele combo.. ice prison may be a better water skill..(mind you it doesnt do any damage but 16 seconds >4!

instead of victory is mine I would suggest water trident, 5 energy and okay damage but the ranged knockdown vs a running target would probably help your warriors out every now and then.

And signet of humility is now linked to inspiration for its black out duration.

One warning though... Effect ends when taking fire dmg. I played water mesmer/ele and found out a lot of monks have rods and staffs with fire dmg. Also dragon swords and fire preps on bows, well you get the idea. Make sure everyone on your team knows the effect of the spell.

What me and one guy put together yesterday for our team....

W/N

Hamstring
Virulence
Berserker's Stance
Sever Artery
Galrath's Slash
Final Thrust
Plague Touch
Res Signet

Me/Mo

Fragility
Epidemic
Scourge Healing
Judge's Insight/Strength of Honor
Power Block{E}
Empathy
Backfire
Restore Life or Res Sig

Fairly straight forward duo

GREAT for anti-caster and the weakness from virulence really puts a damper on any warriors along with the degen and empathy most can't cope with without their healers which we just maimed

Lead off with Judge's Insight/Strength of Honor, Call with Fragility, then Hamstring, Virulence, Epidemic, Sever Artery, Scourge Healing, Berserker's Stance, Galrath, Final Thrust

Power Block and Backfire the other monk/caster, who is also taking Scourge Healing damage.

Takes down most any monk duo faster than the monk duo can believe.

And now you also have 2 slots left in a TA to protect the mesmer and/or off target someone else

Also ran this duo with a R/E trapper, was hilarious to see 2 warriors become completely useless from him using Deep Freeze and Spike Trap, Barbed Trap, Dust Trap, Flame Trap. I don't know exactly what he was packing but he had those 5 and a prep of some sort, throw dirt and res signet.

This is somewhat off topic, but I just love running into trappers in random arenas. They try to protect themselves with traps, but that doesn't matter much when you have.. PLAGUE TOUCH! Muahaha. This one I fought yesterday was stupid enough to use throw dirt on me. Like that's going to do anything to a n/me. Moron.

Oh and by the way Yukito, it's always fun to read your thoughts on new builds, even though I might not say anything. You always come up with the coolest stuff. Props to you for thinking outside the bun.. er.. box.

He was one of those "offensive trappers" and went after me at the beginning of the match, it was just one at a time. I think I've seen one person so far with spike trap, everyone else likes other elites. Dust trap isn't that dangerous, now that you can run out and just take 22 dmg.

I think that's 22*5 damage for dust trap.
